It is able to reset Red Light of Death (RLOD) on your XR battery in a non-invasive way. No soldering or cracking open the enclosure is needed at all in order to get your battery ready for its next adventure.
It truly understands your battery.
It may be hard to believe, but pre-2.5.1 battery firmware XR batteries can have wildly inaccurate battery percentage indicators. 100% doesn’t always mean 100% and this miscommunication often leads Boosted Board riders to prematurely ride and trigger Red Light Of Death on their XR batteries.
BERT Lite has a zero B.S. battery health indicator.
0% means 0% and 100% means 100%.
How it works
Grab your battery.
Turn off your XR battery and plug BERT Lite into your XR battery’s discharge port.
Plug your charger into your battery, then plug USB power into BERT.
BERT Lite will attempt to clear if your battery has enough energy to make a recovery! You may need to unplug/plug BERT Lite from USB power a few times.

Something Weird Happening?
Get back to riding.
Once all ten lights on BERT Lite are green, your battery has completed recalibration and is ready to be ridden again!
After recovery, your XR battery is capable of recalibrating itself as long as a charger is plugged into it, whether BERT Lite is plugged into your battery or not.
Use BERT Lite to verify that all ten lights are green and then ride to your heart’s content!

Amnesia has a few advantages and we will still make Amnesia installations available for those who wish to have their battery installed with Amnesia. We intend this to be a more safe and accessible way for Boosted riders to keep their beloved boards working.

We encourage you to text or call us if you have issues installing or using the software with B.E.R.T. and if your battery is not able to restore operation using this solution, we will refund you and arrange a return.

Assuming that the cells of your battery is still healthy and that the internal connections are still sound, you would still be able to keep on using B.E.R.T. to clear Red Light of Death as many times as necessary.

We do recommend keeping the device just in case you get RLOD again as it makes diagnosing future issues much easier. However, if you are confident you do not need the device after your repair, we can issue a partial refund of $20 when we inspect your device back at HQ and confirm that B.E.R.T. is still functional.
